Show Your (Gay) Pride

My heart and well wishes go out to all gays in Moscow!

I just learned that the gay pride organizers have asked the European Court of Human Rights to order the city of Moscow to pay one-million Euros (about $1.5 US)!!! This, because of the fact that Moscow has been banning pride parades over the past two years.

The complainants have filed the lawsuit against the city government and City Mayor Yuri Lushkov.

Over the years, Lushkov failed to grant the pride organizers permits to hold their gay pride festivals. Apparently, the mayor was “concerned” with possible violent scenarios.

Which is totally funny because really, how violent can we homosexuals really be? (not counting the matters exchanged in bed, of course! LOL) In any case, most, if not all, of the so-called violent scenarios are usually results of provocation!

This 23-year old charmer from High School Musical is sure to go places!

Lucas Grabeel, who I completely adored in the said musical film, is playing the role of Daniel Nicoletta in the upcoming Sean Penn-starrer “Milk.”

“Milk” is a film about California’s first openly gay elected politician, Harvey Milk, a role which will be played by Penn.

Grabeel’s role of Nicoletta is, apparently, quite a challenging one. Nicoletta was reportedly a clerk in Milk’s famed Castro Street camera store in San Francisco.

Nicoletta was Milk’s friend, employee and then eventually his City Hall Administrative Assistant.

Well, Milk was assassinated so Nicoletta and Milk’s other friends formed a group dedicated to preserving Milk’s legacy.

Truly, one exciting, historical film we should all watch out for!

All right, people, you have GOT to agree that this is the best piece of news today!

Harris County District Attorney Chuck Rosenthal (R), the very same guy who chastised homosexuals big time and who fought before the Supreme Court to criminalize homosexuality under Texan law, is now under investigation for misconduct after the discovery of e-mails containing sexually explicit videos, racist jokes and what is described as torrid love notes to his executive secretary.

HAHAHAHA!

I tell you, the gay bashers are usually the ones who have the scariest skeletons in their closets! And to think this Rosenthal guy is married! OMG I can’t imagine the embarrassment this has all caused to his family!

I can only imagine the hundreds of judges, attorneys and legal officers out there who are busy burning the midnight oil just to delete all incriminating emails and burning all incriminating love notes to assistants/secretaries! HAHAHA!

Is this guy, who apparently calls himself “gay” and “Asian” (I still see don’t any hint that he is), the next William Sledd of “Ask A Gay Man” Youtube fame? What bothers me somehow is the way he drops the term “bitches” as if there’s no tomorrow. What do you think of his views?

Get this — another blow for our fellow homosexuals.

The Iraq government is considering the release of roughly 5,000 prisoners. Unfortunately, the amnesty will exclude terrorists and homosexuals.

So yeah, if you’re gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexual — sorry but you won’t get to see the light of day!

Interestingly, while homosexuality itself is not illegal in Iraq, the authorities there regularly arrest gays…and on charges that are reportedly often trumped up.

So much for equality and beefed up gay rights!

The amnesty would cover less than a quarter of the total number of people held in Iraqi prisons, and none of those held by the American military. The total number of gays being held is unknown.

First it was Pope Benedict XVI who had a field day trying to castigate the LGBT community - now it’s Iraq that’s making its stand known against gays.

What’s next?

Pope Benedict XVI of the Catholic Church is at it again. Gays, lesbians, transgenders and bisexuals are again at the core of his most recent attacks from the pulpit.

In his first public address of 2008, the said Pope, who, in my own humble opinion is way too different from Pope John Paul, called same-sex marriage a threat to world peace.

Yup, the very right we’ve all been fighting for in a very long time (since time immemorial even, truth be told!) has just been branded as A THREAT.

He called for support of traditional families made up of a union between a man and a woman. He also condemned what he called attempts to undermine the traditional family unit.

“I wanted to shed light on the direct relationship that exists between the family and peace in the world…The family is the primary agent of peace and the negation or even the restriction of rights of the family … threatens the very foundations of peace,” the Pope was quoted as saying.

Should we still care about what he said? Should we still feel hurt?

Come to think of it, what he said and what he will continue to say will always be the same. It will never change. Gays, lesbians, transgenders and bisexuals will always be the bad guys. We’ll always be the THREATS.

The Pope’s message will always be on the same note. It will always carry the same opinion about the members of the LGBT community. Unless something incredibly astounding will happen very soon, we will always be the castaways, the bad seeds, the threats to society, tradition and family.

WHAT I WANT TO KNOW, THOUGH, IS:

-  does the same message apply to closet gay priests? Does the same message apply to priests who molest young children, who love to prey on little boys and girls?  Or is the Pope and the rest of the clergy (as well as the faithful) turning a blind eye on these scandals?

THESE THREATS TO THE VERY CHURCH?

Shouldn’t the Pope have talked about how his ailing Church should go about facing all the scandals, all the tragedies, all the really embarrassing moments? Shouldn’t the Pope have talked about how to meet all the court-appointed payments (remember the $600 million payout???) that his ailing Church should make towards victims of his wayward clergymen?

Why prey on gays, lesbians, transgenders, bisexuals?

WHY NOT CASTIGATE YOUR VERY OWN CHURCH?

A man in a Santa hat was arrested by authorities recently for investigation of drunken driving. This, after he was spotted outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood wearing a wig, a red lace camisole and - get this - a purple G-string. Yes, Santa Claus can be naughty, too!

“We are pretty sure this is not the Santa Claus,” Deputy Chief Ken Garner said.

LOL (duh!) I mean, really, how in the world can you EVEN think that Santa Claus will have the slightest chance to dress like that?! Oh Deputy Garner, you crack me up! Can you please say brighter, smarter things next time? That wasn’t a quotable quote.

The still unnamed naughty Santa Claus was booked but later released on a $5,000 bail. He was reportedly 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighed 280 pounds. He also wore black leg warmers and black shoes.
