Carson Kressley, that former fashion and style guru of the hit series “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” was recently seen having a lot of fun at the beach Down Under. Who’s he with? That’s his long time boyfriend.

So just what is the WPF and what can you expect there? Here’s something from the official WPF website:

Launched in 1994 as a one-time charity dance event on the sands of beautiful South Beach, Winter Party Festival has evolved into a six-day festival benefiting the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community on the national and local levels. Over 10,000 guests from all over the United States and abroad attend at least one of the 20 events - including music, fashion, art, comedy and more — that take place in Miami and Miami Beach. The Festival climaxes with the Winter Party Beach Party, a dance event on the sands of South Beach that draws a crowd of more than 5,500 revelers. The 15th Annual Beach Party will be the centerpiece of the 2008 Winter Party Festival. This fabulous celebration, benefitting the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, is also an important fundraiser for the LGBT community. To date, the Festival and its sister event, the Miami Recognition Dinner, have raised over $1.6 million for organizations serving the South Florida LGBT community.

Who’s going?

Here’s a nice twist to the usual erotic stories, poems and pictures that homosexuals like us usually see in the Internet these days. Check out The Masque (click on their ad on the right side of this blog) - an erotic renaissance of the days gone by.

Not only is he a hero of the environment, he’s also fast becoming a hero of the LGBT community! Al Gore recently spoke in defense of gays everywhere:

“I don’t understand why it is considered by some people to be a threat to heterosexual marriage to allow it by gays and lesbians…Shouldn’t we be promoting the kind of faithfulness and loyalty to one’s partner regardless of sexual orientation?”

Oohh…Big Al’s fast becoming my favorite gay activist. Wonder if this move will help him if ever he wants to seek the presidency?

“We came to Spain because there is a marriage law here that allows the union of homosexuals and in Argentina there isn’t…It’s not going to be easy. … But we’re already married, Spain recognizes us…We want Argentina to recognize us as well” - Cesar Cigliutti

Cigliutti and partner Marcelo Suntheim, two leaders of an Argentinian gay rights organization got hitched last Monday in Madrid, Spain. Argentina does not allow same sex unions.

Is this guy, who apparently calls himself “gay” and “Asian” (I still see don’t any hint that he is), the next William Sledd of “Ask A Gay Man” Youtube fame? What bothers me somehow is the way he drops the term “bitches” as if there’s no tomorrow. What do you think of his views?

Sad, sad news! Maryland State Sen. Gwendolyn T. Britt, largely considered a beloved gay rights activist, died in a hospital Saturday shortly after being admitted. Senator Britt was only 66 years old.

“Thousands of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Marylanders and their families only knew Senator Britt by name, and yet this name truly meant everything to them,” said Equality Maryland executive director Dan Furmansky, adding “at a time in our nation’s history where LGBT people seek champions for the equal protection of our families, Sen. Britt rose up and declared our cause her own.”
